New Year, new scribbles. Or old scribbles. An experiment from c. 2004, to approximate a “natural” looking drawn line, with stroke width modulation and wandering contours. Also various methods of “resetting” the pencil when it wanders off-canvas. Coded in Python/NodeBox 1.

I almost didn’t want to post these, they are hardly/barely what you would call finished artwork. But there is a sublime simplicity I like about them: they are like little meditations on space and line and color.
